Basic function and scope of responsibilities: Brake Operators work with metal fabrication machinery to form and fabricate raw materials into parts, according to job specifications found on work orders and blueprints. Responsibilities include bending raw material and parts, maintenance of machinery and work area, and moving and unloading cut material and completed parts to designated areas.
Position requirements: 3 to 5 years’ experience is required. The successful candidate must have the ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints; stand for long periods, complete repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads. This person must be able to work under pressure, and have good hand-eye coordination. This position may be required to work rotating day and evening shifts. Further, this person must have good English verbal and written communication skills, work well in a team environment. Steel-toed safety boots are required. Rate of pay negotiable, depending on experience.
Basic function and scope of responsibilities: Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from surfaces of metal products. Assist laser operator(s) and/or machinist(s) with: sorting of material and parts; loading and unloading of machines; grinding excess metal from products using hand tools. Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout the plant manually or using powered equipment. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Read and interpret work orders and/or blueprints.
Position requirements: Previous metal manufacturing experience and experience with hand tools required. Able to read work orders and blue prints. Fork lift driving experience would be an asset. Steel-toed work boots /shoes are required.
Basic function and scope of responsibilities: Reporting to the lead hand, this person must take direction, read and interpret blueprints and drawing, and complete welding processes to standard. Welders must meet CWB standards and will be tested and certified on an on-going basis.
Position requirements: The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a production welding environment using: gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW); tungsten inert gas welding (TIG); Gas metal arc welding (GMAW). This person must be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. The successful candidate will have their own steel-toed safety boots and welding helmet.
